A day in the life
The blog of this morning. Yesterday was a perfect day, nice and relaxed; written a blogue, read a booky, learned a song on Joekoe, peacefully found solutions to some problems, learned a new technique form Gael on the harmonica, to get a vibrating tone and bring more feeling in the music. I learned some new French words and I'm looking forward to learn more. There really is a lot to learn and to do. I want to buy an extra blanket for over my sleeping bag and I want to buy a new small music box. I don't want to buy that in Geneve, but in France, because it's cheaper here.
Yesterday Gael and Florian came down the stairs at two in the afternoon, joint in the mouth and aching in their stomachs. They went to bed at seven o'clock the night before. I mean, the time I stood up. I made myself comfortable on the bench and everything was tranquillo.
Florian had two daughters I haven't seen before, and they came down and sit with us for a little moment. We sat all day around the table, drinking water, beer and joints. We didn't drink the joints, well I didn't. Occasionally, we made some music and stroked some kittens and some dogs. Michael came down the stairs later. And he was in form. He was joking around, making hand gestures.
A really nice atmosphere was rising, open and free. I could do whatever I wanted to do and so could everyone. Gael went nuts on the harmonica with me as a backgroundukulelelist. He threw solo's like Toots and a moment later, Florian started building his DJ-set. Where he got it from was me a raadsel, but the speakers were big as kitchenclosets and there were computers and more different turningtables.
But first, eat. We ate all together on a big table; ham, cheese, potatoes, whiskey, wine, beer, salad, beef and a really nice vibe. We did a gourmet. 'C'est typical Francais.' Gael said.
I believed him. It was damn tasty.
'Non,' said Florian's wife. 'C'est Swiss.'
'Non, Swiss est fondu!' Florian said.
'Non,' I said. 'C'est Austria.' I had no idea. It looked Swiss to me. I didn't know, but just wanted to say something usefull, as I sat at the table hearing a lot of French talking. I tried focussing on what they said and sometimes I heard a word I knew.
We made pictures, talked and talked, teached some Engish to Florians daughters. I don't think they really wanted to know. The cheese was amazing and I could go on eating and eating all night. We started eating like nine o'clock in the evening, French time. Gael was the chefkok again and made the sauces and cut everything. I watched him doing it and made some music at the time.
Well, after dinner the technomusic came. Florian started playing on his sound system and it was amazing. The beat kept on rolling and kicking in for like an hour as we sat at the table, dancing, beating our heads on the beat. It was like a youtube mix. At first I didn't even notice he was playing.
There is a kitten right now, attentively watching the screen on my phone, sitting almost on my fingers.
After the music, Florian got a big applause from me.
It was just a relaxed evening. We watched some television, I skyped with Giari and Merin and got a cup of tea from Florian's wife. I could do whatever I wanted and they even gave me a bed for the night, a two person bed! At one o'clock I jumped in and later a dog came visiting me for the night and layed on top of the blanket. Life's good here. Today I need to do some washing and maybe I'm going to drool the floor. Yeserday I cleaned a dog turd from the floor. I didn't say anyting.
Why must cats always try to keep you off doing what you want to do, like walking on the keyboard or on your phone. Anyway, it's nice to have cats walking around here. I'm going to eat some breakfast, have a shit and a shower and learn some French, make it a good day.
